1) Colourblock dress with black belt & studded heals.
2) Silver spotted tank-top, high waisted silk skirt with pockets, & studded heals.
3) Black leggings, long black shirt, & studded heals.
4) Sequence dress, black leggings, & studded heals.
VOTEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I am for sure wearing the heals and I purposely bought the dress for my birthday but without leggings it dosn’t look good with the shoes.
two or three. but three looks most comfortable and the shoes look good with the leggings.
what was your happiest moment in the last 24 hours?
there have not been many. i’m having kind of an awful week.
best moment would probably be coming home last night to see my dogs back from their vet appointments with their pink and blue gauze bracelets on (from having blood drawn) and them being really excited to see me. animals are great at making me feel better!
This article link above reconfirms so many things for me. I’ve written a blog entry before on my desire to avoid the plastic, buzzing, blinking crap that our society calls “toys” these days. While I don’t want to deny my daughter anything, I can’t help but want to think of ways to give her a full, enjoyable youth without drowning her in a room full of mass produced junk that she’ll grow tired of quickly.
I keep trying to talk through my idea of giving ‘experiences’ instead of things with Brent. I am drawn to the idea of replacing plastic toys with trips to the zoo, canvas painting, musicals, or an afternoon visit to the cupcake shop. Will our family think we are crazy if we asked them to forgo presents at her birthday party and instead give her their undivided time?
And when it does come to toys - I keep going back to those timeless toys that will withstand the test of time and could be passed down to future siblings and cousins - red wagons, story books, musical instruments, blocks, art easels and felt puppets.
I know there will come a time when she’ll beg for whatever the newest doll/toy of her day is - and we’ll re-evaluate this ideology when the time comes… but if I can just instill in her that the true joy of life is collecting experiences and memories with the people you love, and not a room full of plastic, whiz-bang toys that will be forgotten in a few months time then I will feel as though I have succeeded.
I welcome your thoughts on this.
Love,
M
“They [kids] get overwhelmed and over-stimulated and cannot concentrate on any one thing long enough to learn from it so they just shut down. Too many toys means they are not learning to play imaginatively either.”
i agree to this completely.
taking care of everything while my parents are away is stressing me out. our cat is doing worse and i don’t want to make the decision to put her down on my own. i just want my mom to come home and that is terrible. i’m twenty one years old and my parents have never had a real vacation alone since before i was born. i just need someone to help me with everthing.
This is the highlight of my day so far. The best gum in the world(seriously!) sent to me by the lovely Bitty, cause it’s no where to be found in my country :(
i wish i could lift your spirits with more than bubblemint but i’m glad to help in any way that i can!

Places you’ve never been but you’re dying to go in your lifetime?
i talk about this every single night on the phone with chris when he’s up at school. the seaside in grease, india, copenhagen, coventry, london, hawaii, nevada, california, ireland…if i could pick one right now i’d say copenhagen, denmark would be my number one though.
Okay. Greece is amazing. Coventry?! As in Coventry, UK. Scrap that off your list. Hahaha. You and the Mister should come to London! Cali is amazing.
my dad was born in Coventry and he hasn’t been back since he moved to the states so i do have reasoning! haha. honestly, i mostly just want to go anywhere. i’m a home body but i’d love to break out of this country…maybe even just the state for a while!
